Juan's Experience
Juan has spent over 20 years in the field. He has concentrated his efforts in the PC world. He is knowledgeable in the applications of Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project, Exchange, Outlook, Remedy, and Norton VPN systems. His expertise spans: Managing communications equipment, LAN wiring and wireless connectivity Remote connectivity and assistance. Software and Hardware installation and support. End user training and support. Training and development of individuals and groups. Juan has provided numerous clients with the following services: Technical knowledge with respect to computer equipment purchases and repairs. Upgrade, maintenance and troubleshooting of computers, including troubleshooting and management of information systems workgroups and domains. Management of computing equipment locally and remotely utilizing tools such as VPN and remote assistance and remote desktop. Management of Symantec Firewalls and VPN?s for remote access enabling clients to telecommute to with their respective businesses One-on-one training or in a group setting. Developed training presentations and materials for individuals and small businesses Juan previously worked for the California Department of Corrections in the Parole Division. He was the project lead and inventory manager for Information Technology equipment of 1500 pieces. He also planned, modified, installed, relocated, troubleshot, and supported data processing equipment for a department of 350 users. His responsibilities included: ensuring that all applications needed by the department were working at all times; full responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the department's equipment, i.e., personal computers, servers, printers, modems, LAN/WAN, etc.; problem solving within the department. Juan also developed applications and databases to serve as tools for high quality process management, inventory databases, financial programs, and others; as well as created automated tools for manual processes, saving the department thousands of dollars monthly. Juan also has strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communications.
