This is a coming of age story of a ten-year-old girl, Evelyn, who lives with her young mother on the outskirts of a small Kansas town. Evelyn, a gifted but underprivileged student, has to deal with the drawbacks of her background to become a college student. The Stephanie Plum Detective Series: Most recent book, "Eleven on Top" by Janet Evanovich (338 pages) The series started with "One for the Money", then "Two for the Dough" and you can imagine the rest of the titles. The author has even started letting readers vie for creating the title of her next book and thanks the winner on the title page of that book! All the books in this series are an easy read and I recommend them if you like a lot of action, humor, off-color jokes/situations.
