Emailed Pictures Missing

Friends are always sending me pictures of animals, etc. & if I just try to forward the message, all they get is a little box with an x where the picture should be. I have found that in order to send the pictures, I have to save the email to my documents and then send the email as an attachment. Is there an easier way & can you tell me why the pictures won't forward correctly?

Debbie, I was about to touch on this subject when I realized, I have already answered this question. The article for this question and answer is entitled Missing Email Pictures. However, this answer pertains to MS Outlook Express. If you have a different mail client (program) let me know which one.
